The United Women in Faith is a welcoming community that connects and nurtures women through spiritual growth, leadership development, fellowship, and education so they can make a meaningful impact both locally and globally. At Barrington UMC, we gather on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m., either at the church or on Zoom, to study, pray, and plan together.
Our local group organizes a large rummage sale to support nonprofits, creates hundreds of heart pillows for breast cancer patients, and learns about social justice issues where we can make a difference. Membership is open to all women—regardless of denomination or church affiliation—with no fees required, only a shared commitment to our mission. In addition to local opportunities, members can access online resources, webinars, podcasts, and reading programs for continued growth.
By joining, you’ll be part of a powerful movement of women who have been serving and advocating for justice for more than 150 years. To learn more, visit uwfaith.org

First Sundays, 10:45 a.m. in the Barrington campus Dining Room
This open group meets with Mike Pearson, LCSW. It is a time to share or just listen in a safe and Christian space. All who are working through grief are welcome to join. All conversations are covenanted and private to the group.

Everyone is welcome to the Second Sunday Lectio Divina in the Barrington campus Dining Room at 9 a.m. This reflective practice offers a calm and welcoming way to engage scripture, listen for God’s presence, and share meaningful conversation together. No experience is needed—just come as you are and take part at your own pace.
Find a quiet moment with God and still your busy mind in Contemplative Prayer. Our group meets in the Barrington Campus Parlor on Fridays at 1:30 p.m. for 1–1.5 hours, beginning with 20 minutes of silent centering, followed by time to share and reflect. All are welcome to deepen their faith through this peaceful, contemplative practice.

Children (Ages 3 – Grade 5)
On Sunday mornings, children are invited to begin worship together with their families in the sanctuary. Early in the service, we share a special Children’s Time, created just for them. Afterward, children are invited to head to Sunday School with Sunday School staff, while parents remain in worship.
3rd through 5th Grade Students
Sunday School is offered during the worship service. Children enjoy engaging Bible stories, hands-on crafts, games, and conversation that help them explore God’s love in ways that are meaningful, age-appropriate, and fun. Our dedicated leaders create a welcoming environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow.
